Site Description

An extensive coastal mangrove belt backed by swamp forest, the site is an excellent example of coastal forest and supports a wealth of wildlife. There is disturbance caused by mangrove cutting and clearing of land for settlement. |

Muara Sungai Guntung is located on the eastern coast of Sumatra, south east of Pulau Mendol, extending almost to the mouth of Sungai Kampar. The southern boundary is Sungai Guntung. |
