Immediately inland from Kampong Cemara Lebat, Kec. Kapuas Kuala, Kab. Kapuas, Kalimantan Tengah.
by river from Kuala Kapuas to Cemara Lebat. Speedboat hire is prohibitive. Best is to go by ojek to Lupak Dalam (two hours, excellent road) and then charter a klotok to Cemara Lebat (two hours). Cemara is an attractive old village, though the replaced by coconuts, of course. The village is not accessible by klotok during the musim tenggara, the dry season, at which time the route is downriver to near the river mouth and then overland parallel to the shore. There is apparently no domestic water source in the dry season-it is sold in cans. |
